PASSING OFF / PLAGIARISM
We take a very dim view of individuals and organisations who copy our work and then attempt to "pass off" OUR work as their own! Not only is this unlawful (CDPA 1988), but it makes the person who did it look extremely foolish when we find out. If we come accross this kind of abuse we shall not hesitate to enforce our intelectual property rights in accordance with UK and international law. This may include issuing proceedings in the civil courts to recover our reasonable damages. Web pages aren't just the words that you see in the browser. HTML and CSS code as well as images count as published content. You have no right to help yourself to images and code without our permission. You can conceive of the hours, weeks, and years of diligent research and skill that go into developing an idea, you would doubtlessly not like to have somebody steal that work from you and claim it as their own! Copyright infringement is plagiarism. If you want to use our work, just ask us - you might be surprised at our friendly and helpful response...
PARISH NEWLETTERS / LOCAL MEDIA
Upon personal application we will be happy to provide you with a FREE copy of our work in uncompressed Microsoft Word format (Doc). This will save you time re-typing data and enable you to paste it directly into parish newsletters, newspaper articles etc. This includes any photograph from our large library of Kent War Memorials. We are always eager to assist newspaper reporters and editors with articles about the fallen men of Kent. Get in touch with us, you might be surprised at the level of co-operation & help we cheerfully provide you with.
DON'T TAKE, LINK...
Rather than steal data without our permission and then attempt to pass off our work off as your own, why not simply place a link on your own pages direct to this site and the page with the information you are interested in. You may do this without asking us although if you do tell us, we shall be happy to reciprocate by placing a link to YOUR website on our Links page. We are always happy to hear from fellow military history enthusiasts and webmasters who wish to place a link to this website on their own pages. We shall be pleased to reciprocate. Just get in touch with us, we are friendly chaps...
SUBMISSION OF WORK
We postively welcome photographs and interesting articles from anyone with an interest in Kent's military history.
